Samurai Japan just added some heavy hitters for the 2026 World Baseball Classic! Former Yomiuri Giants and Baltimore Orioles pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano is back in action after his stint in the semifinals in 2017.

He's the only one with MLB experience among 11 new roster additions, joining Shohei Ohtani and the eight players named earlier. Sugano had a solid run with the Orioles last season, finishing 10-10 with a 4.64 ERA, and now he's looking to make moves as a free agent.
