Exclusive to just two wards in Tokyo, this drink is a must-try. When we heard 7-Eleven was launching a chilled soup smoothie made with grilled corn, we knew we had to hunt it down. But, let me tell you, finding it was no walk in the park! After visiting four stores in Chuo with no luck, we finally struck gold at our fifth stop—there it was, a huddle of smoothies just waiting for us.
Once we got our hands on it, we scanned the cup's barcode and looked inside. Surprise! Actual pieces of grilled corn were staring back at us. We popped it into the smoothie machine and, as it transformed, we were intrigued. The flavor? Corn was king—with a sweet, smoky twist that made it shine. It didn’t taste like your typical corn potage; this fusion left us wondering if we were sipping on a soup or a smoothie! Priced at nearly 500 yen, it’s definitely on the expensive side, but if you can find it, it’s worth the adventure.
