In Japan, one in four people believes advanced AI will replace their friends and family, according to a Jiji survey. About 24.9% of respondents think this way, while 65.1% disagree. Among younger folks, specifically those aged 18 to 29, the belief rises to 32.5%. In their 30s, it’s 30.1%, and for the 50s crew, it’s at 31.4%.

When it comes to using generative AI like ChatGPT, 30.8% overall said they do, with 53.3% usage among younger users. Most folks, 64.7%35.3%2,000 people over four days starting June 12, having a valid response rate of 57.1%.
